- Core wallet
1) Click on “help” menu, then “debug window”, then the “console” tab
2) Type: walletpassphrase [your wallet password] 600 (do not include the [ ] brackets, just your wallet password)
3) Write: dumpprivkey [address where you have the coins] (do not include the [ ] brackets, just your public address)
4) You will be shown your private key for this address.
- Electrum wallet
1) Click on: Wallet / Private Keys / Export — (you’ll need to enter your wallet password)
2) Save the CSV file and open it in a spreadsheet viewer (do not use a cloud-based viewer like Google Docs) You can copy the keys in text form directly, or use the QR code as explained next.
4) Open https://www.bitaddress.org / Wallet Details
5) Copy/Paste the private keys from the spreadsheet to Bitaddress webpage
